About the instructor :

Dr Shedid A. Shedid
Dr. Shedid is a senior consultant and professor in petroleum engineering for more than 25 years. He received his doctorate (Ph D) from university of Oklahoma, USA, in Petroleum Engineering. He conducted several industry technical consultation and research projects in the USA, Australia, Egypt, Algeria, Ecuador, and the UAE. He authored two books and published more than 112 scientific papers at the U S and Canadian international referred journals and at international conferences about development of new techniques and/or models for solving real industry problems.
Dr. Shedid designed, developed and presented more than 94 petroleum academic and industry training short courses of Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS) Projects, Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) for Enhanced oil Recovery (EOR) Projects, Special Core Analyses (SCAL) for Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), Advanced Reservoir Characterization, and Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) throughout different countries of Algeria (Hassi-Masoud), the UAE (ADCO & ADNOC), Egypt (Suez & Cairo), Australia (Perth & Adelaide), Malaysia (KL, Penang, Labuan), Vietnam (PetroVietnam, Hanio), Kuwait (KOC &KPC), China (Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu), Libya (Radisson Blue, Tripoli), Oman (Shell &PDO), Indonesia (Pertamina. He is currently a senior technical consultant to three oil companies and an editorial member and technical reviewer for six U. S. and European scientific journals.
