Scale Problems
Mineral scale formation is a major flow assurance threat in oil and gas fields, costing millions of dollars in mitigation annually. A key step in a scale management plan is scale risk assessment, wherein scale prediction comes as a crucial tool to determine the tendency of scale formation.

Scale Prediction
Using fluids and process data as inputs, the scaling tendency of oilfield waters can be determined. The thermodynamic model will determine the scale mass, at the different temperatures and pressures of the system, recalculate the pH of the water and provide other insights on fluids mixing.
Benefits of Scale prediction:
- Assess the risk of scaling.
- Assess the compatibility of different waters.
- Predesign scale mitigation before the problem escalates.
Scale Management
CHEMDUSTRY will assist you in managing your scale issues. Part of this is modeling and designing the scale inhibitor squeeze program, which is used to manage scale buildup in the production wells.
